Although Flexible Ducting is a market leader in hoses for floorcare, our expertise is by no means restricted to this area. Advancement in materials technology allows us to propose solutions in diverse and often surprising applications - two examples of which are detailed below:
Breathing Apparatus
Flexible Ducting manufactures a lightweight, PU hose that is used in respirators. Part of a modular system, the hose connects the hood or helmet to a belt-mounted power unit. Here the PU hose is lighter than traditional rubber hoses and thereby reduces the system’s overall weight - so making things much easier for the user of the system.
Thermoplastic Hose In Food Applications
Modern thermoplastic elastomers provide real alternatives to traditional rubber hose in an increasingly wide range of applications. For example, it is now possible to make thermoplastic hoses suitable for transporting foodstuffs thereby making them much lighter and environmentally friendly than traditional rubber hoses.
In such instances, Flexible Ducting works in close co-operation with the customer to develop advanced products not available elsewhere, complete confidentiality is always ensured.
